Dystopia

Okay guys, I need input. I am considering extending the breadth of my blog. I would be doing all manner of things dystopic instead of just The Hunger Games. This would include Divergent, Delirium, The Uglies, etc. If this goes well I might even extend it out to books I like. Essentially I want to know what you guys think before I do this because this blog is for you guys. Okay, well, since very few people actually actively check and participate in this blog, it's for me but also it's for you and I don't want to just up and change everything if y'all aren't cool with that. So...if you have an opinion, feel free to comment. Actually, if you don't have an opinion, or if you just wanna say hi, please, feel free to comment. Just...feel free to comment. If I did this, the blog would probably get a new name, so also, if you have name ideas feel free to comment those also. If I don't get input I might change everything anyway because this blog is for me too. But I won't change the url unless I get really good input. If I do, I will let all of you know before I do it. Alright guys, let's really give some good input here because I will probably just do what I want anyways, but I want to be reassured that you agree with me. Or that you don't. Okay, I'm rambling, so I will try to wrap up. Comment. please,

Tickets

SOOOOO....Tickets for the premier of Catching Fire went on sale on the 1st of October, and I just wanted to let you guys know. I haven't gotten mine yet, but you can bet that I will be there.

Atlas

The other day, they put out a statement saying that Coldplay would be featured on the soundtrack of Catching Fire. The song they will be playing is called Atlas. It isn't supposed to be released until the 23rd but I found a blog that has the lyric video. http://www.hungergamesarena.com/profiles/blog/show?id=6370308%3ABlogPost%3A580718 I watched the video, and it is pretty sweet, especially the end. Let me know what you guys think. I will put a post with the video on it as soon as they release it on YouTube.

In case you didn't notice...

Just in case you didn't already notice, I added a widget that is a countdown to the Catching Fire premier. Unfortunately if I want to get rid of the ads, I have to pay, so we get to live with them. Luckily, they are only on the widget and you CAN exit out of them by clicking the red X at the top of the add. I think it's pretty cool, but you guys can let me know what you think by commenting on this post. Riy's Story

So my awesome friend wrote this. I absolutely loved this head cannon. She did a good job and I was really impressed. I asked her permission, and now I am posting this on my blog. From this point forward, these are her words. I didn't say who it was, if she wants I will add that later but I figured anonymity above fame. Sorry in advance, the formatting didn't want to work for me. Here goes:

He tugs the brown, threadbare blanket closer around his shoulders, his eyes squeeze shut as a warm ray of morning light touches his face. He hopes to get a few extra seconds of precious sleep. The sound of heavy boots on the thin wooden floor jolts him fully awake. 

            He winces as the end of a broomstick is jabbed in his ribs. A rough voice, sounding much like rocks grating together booms, causing him to instinctively curl up, knees close to his chest; “Riy! Get your lazy hide up off that floor!”

            Not wanting the next thing he’d fell to be a sharp kick in his side, he scrambles up, leaving the blanket in a small heap on the floor.            The man, Burr Caddail, wipes the side of his grizzled mouth with one hand. On his head rests a solid hat with a headlamp. A coalminer’s helmet. His eyes are bloodshot and bleary and his breath has a sickly sweet taint to it. He’s been drinking, that’s certain.            Burr slaps the broom into the Riy’s hand and unsteadily turns to go.            “What did you trade for it this time?” Riy questions softly to the retreating back of Burr’s jumpsuit. Burr turns back toward Riy, a large hand raised in a fist. “Are you defyin’ me boy? What right do you have to question my actions?” he thunders.            Riy flinches, turning his face away from the expected blow.            Burr stops suddenly, swaying slightly. He lowers his arm and stares at the floor. “Nothin’ much,” he mumbles then turns away. “Useless cripple…” he mutters under his breath, “good for nothin’”            “Be careful. In the mines.” Riy says.            Burr freezes, shoulders tense. Then he grunts and that door to the house slams shut.
            Riy steps backward against the wall, sliding down it into a sitting position, He clutches the broom tightly with his hand. The words stung but he knew they were true. That didn’t make it any easier. He swallows, a lump in his throat. He glances at his left arm; useless, paralyzed, hanging by his side. It had been that way since he’d been born.

Catching Fire Trailer

Please don't shoot me, I am so busy lately, I haven't had time to post. Anyways, good news: they have put out a teaser trailer for Catching Fire. I will add a link at the end of this post, or I guess it will only put it at the beginning, so the beginning. My personal review is that it is really good. I love it and honestly, if someone told me "Chins up, smiles on," I would die, on the spot. Well, maybe not die, but probably pass out. Okay, since it is insanely early in the morning, I am going to be done. Thank you to all of you who still check and read this. I love you all!!!

New CF poster

They officially have a Catching Fire poster. Finally. And a "teaser" which basically is just the mockingjay pin turning into the CF symbol, and then catching on fire. Yeah, really. The catching fire poster is just a Gold CF symbol with Catching Fire at the bottom...They are moving slow. Yeah, that's pretty much it. Except I just wanted to say, in the video you can totally tell someone recorded it in the movie theater...illegally...because you can see the exit sign...yeah...sad. Sorry, I have been busy, and there hasn't been much news.

Long Time No Post...

I apologize. I haven't posted in like over a month and a half. For shame. There wasn't much news to post anyways, but I should have been making stuff up or something...Just Kidding. But seriously. I hate lying

I apologize. I reacted too quickly on pretty much all of the news I confirmed. I erased that post because it was a lie. Mags will actually be played by Lynn Cohen. She has a MUCH better look for the role and although I haven't seen her act I get the feeling that she will do the role justice. This, because I lied previously, has not been confirmed by IMDb, so don't take it to heart...Sam Claflin has been cast as Finnick, and while I think he looks ok, I don't really know if he can do the acting because although he has been in several movies I have seen, he hasn't really been a big star and I can hardly remember anything about his performances. This has been confirmed by IMDb but so had the news about Mags, so if IMDb is wrong, I will also be wrong. Now for Beetee, they had confirmed him but now he is just rumored. Tony Shalhoub is who I am referring to, and he may still end up being the alone who plays him, I just wanted to let you know that there had been that change. Amanda Plummer is still confirmed as Wiress. Thank you all. Hope you can forgive me, love ya,

Welcome to the Rumor Mill

Seeing as there has been no news lately, I am being forced to give some casting rumors....Catching Fire has several brand new casting rumors. First, Wiress has been rumored to be played by Amanda Plummer. I haven't seen her act so I don't know how her acting style fits but she looks right. Next, we have an official Finnick rumor. This means that someone is saying he has been offered the part, but I really don't know if they are telling the truth. Finnick has been rumored to be played by Sam Claflin. Beetee has been rumored in the same article to  be played by Tony Shalhoub. Also includied in this article was a rumor for Mags, Melissa Leo. As for Mags, I have a feeling some heavy make up is in store. NONE OF THESE ARE FOR SURE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. IT IS JUST SO I HAVE SOMETHING TO MAKE NOTE OF. DON'T COMPLAIN WHEN IT GETS CHANGED AS ALL OF THIS IS JUST TALK BUT THERE ISN'T ANYTHING ELSE TO POST. Thank you. Here are pictures of the actors.

Ok, I'm gonna fangirl for a minute...

So I got this video in my youtube inbox. I will post it tomorrow maybe...if I get time before I leave. Anyways. It was like a trailer but for The Hunger Games DVD. TWO WORDS: IMA DIE. I CANNOT wait until the 18th to get the 3 HOURS of behind the scenes footage and all the bonus features. I am GOING to explode. *deep breaths* "it's gonna be fine, breathe, NO IT'S NOT I'M GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!!!" *deep breath* (repeats over and over) yeah, I told ya I was gonna fangirl for a minute. Mockingjay so good it needs to be split into two movies?

Apparently Mockingjay is going to be split into two movies. The release dates are going to be November 21, 2014, and November 20, 2015 (if you remember Catching Fire will be released November 22 of 2013, anyone else see anything funny? Nope...just me?...okay...). Anyways, there are a few different spots the movies could be split. These are: When District 13 was bombed, but maybe the movie could be altered so that there was a large battle as opposed to a bombing. The next is when Peeta gets rescued and he strangles her. The final is when Katniss goes to District Two and does the speech, but gets shot. I am going to do a poll for which you prefer. Honestly, I like the one where Katniss goes to District Two and gets shot, personally, but they are all good split points. I don't really like the first, at least not if they are going to change the plot. Anyways, enjoy the next few days with out me. I will be at State Contest for 4-H so no posts. Thanks. Love ya!

No news is good news?

I have a hard time agreeing with this statement. I want news even if it is bad news. I want Finnick news. Right now, that is in short supply. There is old Plutarch news, and fairly old Johanna news, and really old returning character news, but no Finnick news. Or other new/old tribute news for that matter. No Mags, no Chaff, No Seeder, no Beetee, no Wiress, no anybody. No news at all. No Barbie dolls, no engagements to old Disney stars, no funny interviews, no introductory posts because my blog was brand new, no funny youtube videos (well none that are relevant), no nothing. No news is killing me. It isn't good. I'm going to die if i can't give you guys useful stuff. Anyways I suppose that in the mean time you could do comments of who you think should be cast for Finnick and the rest of the tributes. I'm sorry I can't find any news. Thank you for reading. Rumors no more

The Johanna casting rumors are rumors no more. Jena Malone has officially been cast as Johanna Mason. Both IMDb and Flixter have her listed as Johanna. Also noteworthy, Lenny Kravitz for the first time has been lock in, along with Willow Shields and Donald Sutherland, although my assumption was from the beginning that all three would appear in all three (or four) films. (In case you were unaware Mockingjay is being split into two movies. My hope is that this casting will be promptly followed up by Finnick and the rest of the tributes. Actually the whole rest of the cast, and movie would he nice too. Anyways, your ideas, who should play Finnick, Beetee, Wiress, and Mags? Thanks!

Girl on Fire fireworks?

Who else thinks that there should be a firework, or a group of fireworks dedicated to the Girl on Fire? I think it would be epic if there was a fireworks show set up for Katniss...I think it would be the coolest thing ever! Anyways I want to hear your thoughts about this and see ideas for a firework cool enough to be dedicated to Katniss.

Johanna cast?

I just checked IMDb for news on casting and whatever else, and when I checked earlier nothing was up that was new so I told you guys some older news about Liam, but to get to the point, Johanna has SUPPOSEDLY been cast. Who you ask? Jena Malone has supposedly been cast. She was in the rumors but, but not until after my post about the tribute castings...honestly I didn't think she had much of a chance so I didn't say anything on the blog. She isn't on the official cast list yet except as a rumored Johanna, and she has only been said to be cast by one news source so far, so don't get carried away but I think this is for real. I will keep you posted and add pictures as soon as I can tell for sure. I hope this isn't fake news...like I said I will keep you posted. Thanks for reading!
